Finding calm through life's challenges

Life can be busy. Sometimes tough. Mindfulness can help in so many different ways, guiding you through life's ups and downs. Here at Every Day Mindfulness Sara Whatley offers sensitive and grounding mindfulness practices to help you live in the present moment, react differently to stressful situations and discover compassion for yourself and others

What Is Mindfulness?

Jon Kabat-Zinn, the founder of the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction programme, describes mindfulness as

"paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment, and nonjudgementally"

Mindfulness teaches us how to pay attention to our own body, thoughts and emotions, and recognise how different situations affect us. This then allows us to make choices about how to react, and helps us to respond in a calmer, kinder and more considered way

Slowing Down in a Rushed World

Join Sara Whatley for this grounding two hour mindfulness workshop where she will gently guide and encourage you to slow down from the rushed world around us. Sara will guide you through a body scan, then a walking meditation followed by a short break where herbal teas and healthy light refreshments will be available.

After this Sara will invite you to find a natural object and practice a Trataka meditation, flowing straight into a sitting meditation. The workshop will end with a reflection and there will be time for reflection between practices as well.

You are encouraged to bring whatever you need to be comfortable and warm - mat and blankets, cushions or stool. Chairs will be provided.

Please email hello@everydaymindfulness.uk to book your place on this workshop. £30 investment
